St. Patrick's Day Craft

We are starting to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early!  Stop by the library during our current hours from March 8th thru March 17th to take home a fun craft. Treasures of Reading

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

We are starting off Read Across America Week by reading the popular Dr. Seuss “Green Eggs and Ham.”   Click on the link below to see when and how you can receive a prize based on Dr. Seuss!  This week’s other story hour book, “Firebird”, is based on Misty Copeland’s early experiences as she started ballet. Live online tutoring for all learners

Does your child need additional assistance with homework?  The New Jersey State Library has licensed the online tutoring service Brainfuse using the federal CARES Act funding. We will have access to Brainfuse starting now through June 15, 2021.  Brainfuse is one of the most experienced online tutoring companies in the nation. Their  tutors are trained to not provide answers, but to help master a problem’s underlying academic concepts.  HelpNow is a unique tutoring, homework help, and studying suite designed to assist patrons of all ages to succeed. 

Mae Jemison - celebrating black history month

Our story this week is about a courageous woman, Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel in space.  Listen to this wonderful story, Mae Among The Stars, as you learn how a child’s dreams become a reality that paved the way for her incredible success at NASA and became the first African American woman to travel in space.

Who is Martin Luther King, Jr and why do we celebrate his birthday, listen to this week’s feature story to find out.  The book The Story of Martin Luther King, Jr.” tells you about his childhood and why his story is still important today.  Another book about Dr. King, “Who was Martin Luther King, Jr.?” shares his life and work as one of the most influential civil rights leaders of our time.
